Sandviken Camping is situated at the north end of Tinnsjøen, which is 450 m at its deepest point. Excellent trout and char. Use of otters is permitted, but maggots are the best bait. Within easy driving of Hardangervidda and Gaustatoppen (1,883 metres above sea level). Rjukan town with industrial museum. Vemork, 30 km. Tinn Bygdeutstilling (Tinn local exhibition), arts and bank, shops and café, 1km. Sandviken Camping has a special playground for the children including a trampoline. Activities: 9-hole mini golf, beach volleyball, area for ball games, beach with jetty. Marked hiking trails from 2-10 km with panoramic views. Idyllic barbecue and bonfire site on the lake shore.
